Jackie Hunter has lived in Winfield for most of her life except for the 20 years spent traveling with her now retired Air Force Husband, Mike Hunter. Even during those years, they visited Winfield often to see his parents, the late Gus and Margaret Copen and her parents, the late James Boyd and Carolyn Chapman Morris of Teays Valley.

Jackie and Mike both graduated from Winfield High School as did both of their grown daughters, Angie and Lisa. In addition to their daughters, their family has grown to two sons-in-law, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren in Winfield, Charlotte, NC and Austin, TX. A fifth great-grandchild is on the way.

Jackie attends church at the Winfield Church of the Nazarene and she works part time doing research on Behavioral Risk Factors for the WV Dept. of Health. One of Jackie’s favorite projects is working the polls at election time.
