Mayor Randy L. Barrett was elected Mayor of Winfield in the June 14, 2011 election, and began his term in Office on July 1, 2011.

Mayor Barrett is a life-long Putnam county resident. He graduated from Hurricane High School in 1978 and started working with Local 80 Insulators and Asbestos Workers in June of the same year. After thirty years of service, he retired in December of 2007. During the past 20 years, he has spent time working at the Union Carbide/Dow South Charleston Plant supervising, designing and coordinating insulation and asbestos projects.

Mayor Barrett has lived in Winfield for 35 years and has been married to Judy Rumbaugh Barrett for 33 years. They have three children, Megan, Chelsey and Wesley and four grandchildren, Barrett Grace, Madison, Brooklyn and Jackson. They are very proud of all of them. Mayor Barrett is a member of Good Shepherd Southern Baptist Church in Scott Depot and he serves on the Putnam County Homecoming Committee and is a member of the West Virginia Municipal League. Mayor Barrett was named Mayor of the Year at the Leagues 48th Annual Conference.
